At Lakeview Vets our professional team of vets and nurses care passionately about animals and treat every patient as a sentient being. Every member of our team is hand selected for their compassion and ability to go above and beyond for our clients. They have the skills to provide a timely diagnosis and first-class veterinary treatment.
Clemence DVM MRCVS
Clemence joined our award winning Lakeview team in 2020 after spending time in the UK since 2017 at TV’s Super Vet Fitzpatricks and a busy hospital in the North of England.
Whilst Clemence’s passion is for complex orthopaedic surgery, her skill also extends to vast knowledge as a first opinion general practitioner as well as being un experienced ultrasound imaging vet! Clemence can often be found in theatre carrying out interesting soft tissue surgery, however still very much enjoys consulting and meeting with clients and pets new and old!
Outside of the surgery, Clemence enjoys travelling, hiking and swimming. She is also a car enthusiast with a particularly keen interest in sports and vintage cars. Fun fact- she used to drive race cars in France!
Clemence was previously part of a field team in Quebec studying whales and used to take pictures and biopsies of whales!
Rita joined our experienced Kent team in a senior nursing role in 2017 after holding some prestigious Lead Nurse roles in large Kent hospitals. In 2019 she became the Head Nurse at our Lakeview Vets.

Jules can often be found in nurse consults and giving advice on post operative care, diets and helping to triage your pet before you see one of our great surgeons.
Outside of work, Jules loves board games, going on holiday and taking long walks with her family and her gorgeous daughter. She adores cats and has 3 beloved felines at home- Milo, Bo, & Stampie. One day, Jules would like to complete a course in Feline Medicine.

Melissa first qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1999 when she used to work with our own Head Nurse Rita! She has also worked in other busy practices and was senior nurse in a first opinion and orthopaedic referral centre and also was responsible for setting up and running nursing clinics there. After a break to support her family, she looked into returning to a career she worked hard to be part of and was passionate about, and joined us here at DNA Lakeview in July 2020, where she has settled in and thoroughly enjoys being part of such an amazing team!
Melissa likes to keep herself busy, both mentally and physically. As well as her Veterinary Nurse qualification she has a BSc(Hons) in psychology and holds her British Horse Society AI, but veterinary nursing is where her passion lies.
In her spare time, Melissa and her partner participate in Rally for Heroes events, which actively fundraise for SSAFA, the UK’s oldest tri-military charity. They have participated in 10 day, 3,000 mile drives around Europe and are looking forward to the next event in 2021. Melissa, who has a fear of heights, also plans to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth for this charity!
Stacey started work in the Veterinary world in 1992 and she qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1999. Shortly afterwards she became Head nurse in a very busy high level orthopaedic referral practice. After 10 years she became practice manager and oversaw the entire running of the hospital. In 2018 Stacey undertook the Certificate in Practice Management and joined us at DNA in 2019.
Stacey has always had a massive passion for any size of animal from hamsters to horses! She has quite often taken pets that need a home during a day at work and has a rescue cat called Neville & a crazy Staffie called Dennis.
Michelle is a popular long standing member of our support team, originally joining Lakeview Vets in 1995. Michelle qualified as a Nursing Assistant in 2005 and can often be found both on reception helping our clients and their pets or out the back with our Vet Team, ensuring the pets being treated are well looked after in their kennels post procedure.
Being an accredited breeder, Michelle helps to organise our popular breeder clinics and is constantly looking to offer excellent service to those pets attending the surgery for certification.
In her spare time Michelle enjoys showing and breeding dogs to an excellent standard, even receiving the Best of Breed at Crufts in 2007.
Penny joined our reception team in 2007 and due to being known as an excellent and natural organiser, she carries out many of our admin duties within the surgery.
Penny has a huge love of horses and away from the surgeries enjoys spending time in the great Kent outdoors and pottering around in her beautiful garden.
Many of our long standing clients are incredibly fond of Jane, being the longest serving member of our Lakeview support team, having been a part of the surgery since 1982!
Jane is always remembered for being incredibly kind and jolly, permanently smiling and being helpful on our busy reception with her beautiful dog and the official Lakeview mascot, Tizz.
Outside of work she enjoys taking Tizz for walks, outdoor life and horse riding.
Kelly is a hugely familiar face to many of our long standing clients and has been a part of our Lakeview team for over 20 years. Kelly has carried out many roles within our team from nursing, reception and management until settling down in early 2019 to a role on our friendly reception.
When she is not welcoming clients and their gorgeous pets at our surgery, Kelly enjoys catching up with friends and travelling around the world. She has a keen interest in arts and crafts and particularly enjoys knitting.
Tizz is a familiar face at the practice who comes to work with Jane most mornings to help on reception.
Jane rescued her from one of the local charities a few years ago and she has become a valuable member of the team and is much loved by the clients.
